June 29th Standings

The last two teams have secured their spots in the Quarter-Finals...Spain and Paraguay. Marc Cousineau was the only person to guess Paraguay would be first in Group F. Ken and Matt correctly predicted Japan to come second in Group E. No one got both teams right so those were the only points given in that game. Several people had Spain and Portugal playing today, but no one get the correct score. They received 3 points for having both teams in the right spot, and choosing Spain as the winner. Not many changes at all in these standings...but there they are anyways.

Nives earns the most points today with 6. She unfortunately suffered a last second penalty kick from Slovakia- otherwise she would have had 8 points. Alot of people guessed Chile and Brazil to face each other, but no one guessed the correct score. Netherlands and Brazil will face each other in the quarter finals! Mahir ties up with Marc for first, with Jose only trailing by one.

No one has Paraguay and Japan playing each other, but some people do have the Portugal and Spain game correct! (should be a good game). We'll see how the scores work out tomorrow!

June 27th Standings

Everyone got atleast one point today. Argentina and Germany both move on to the quarter-finals! They will face each other on Saturday (several people predicted this would happen- therefore...expect points later on)! No body who thought Argentina and Mexico would play, predicted the 3-1 victory for Argentina...therefore nobody got a perfect score today. But because they chose Argentina as winners, they receive 3 points in that one game. The people who chose Germany to be first in Group D and winning, receive two points (no one had Germany and England playing except for Mary, Jesse and Nicole who each failed at guessing the winner and score correctly...stupid England). Here are the standings!

Tomorrow's games are Netherlands v.s Slovakia and Brazil v.s Chile. Alot of people have Chile v.s Brazil playing together in the correct spots, but the only person to predict Netherlands and Slovakia playing is Nives. She's the only person who can possibly receive 10 points tomorrow. We'll see how everyone does! Most people think Netherlands and Brazil will win- we shall seeeee

Good Luck!
